Starter privacy information for product development. The legal operator, contact details, provider list, retention periods and final lawful bases must be confirmed before public launch.
Information we use
Depending on how you use Furniture4Free, information may include account and profile details, listings and photos, favourites, private messages, reports, delivery booking details and order records. We also receive basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it
We use information to create and manage accounts, publish and moderate listings, operate favourites and private conversations, arrange requested services, process payments through the selected payment provider, prevent abuse and respond to support requests.
What other members can see
Public listings show the details a member chooses to publish, such as furniture photos, description and approximate location. Private contact details and exact collection addresses should not appear on public listings. Information needed to complete an agreed handover or delivery may be shared with the relevant participants.
Service providers and payments
Furniture4Free uses infrastructure providers to operate accounts and store marketplace information. When enabled, payment information is handled by the payment provider presented during checkout; card details are not intended to be stored in Furniture4Free’s application database. Providers process information under their own privacy terms as well.
Retention and your choices
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the marketplace. You can update profile settings or request account deactivation through the service. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Contact and your rights
Privacy contact details and the identity of the legal operator will be published here before public launch. Depending on your circumstances, data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
